Description
Lucas-Milhaupt is a global leader in brazing serving the aerospace, automotive, power generation,electronics, medical device, component manufacturing, HVAC and refrigeration markets.
As an Engineering Intern, the candidate should possess the skills, ability, knowledge, and willingness to learn any task within the department requested by management with limited supervision, oversight, or guidance.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Actively participate and abide by Lucas Milhaupt safety program and policies.
Actively participate and engage in Department and Company Lean activities driving business
improvement ideas, quality enhancements, productivity improvements, safety updates or
other areas of Lean including 5S, Kaizen events, etc.
Observe and video record processes.
Work with Engineers, VSMs, and Operators to record process data, make process improvements, document process changes, and create training documentation.
Review and edit training documentation such as Job Breakdowns, troubleshooting trees, andvisual work instructions.
Learn how to execute various testing methodologies including but not limited to tensile, hardness, bead and spatter, chemistry analysis, cutting, mounting, and polishing as well as microscopy techniques for metallurgical samples.
The ability to cut data and use testing information for engineering purposes to further the goals of outlining best in class quality and processes.
All other tasks as assigned by his/her supervisor.Salary Range

Requirements
Qualifications and Education:
40 hours a week during the summer internship period.
Bachelor's degree or currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Highly organized.
Familiar with video editing software.
Capable of executing work according to trained processes and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively with peers and supervisor.
Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and requirements.
