    INTRODUCTION: Human Resources will screen applications and supplemental questionnaires.     Hours of Work: 4/10's; 7am-6pm, Mon-Thurs.

    The ideal candidate will have The ideal candidate will have experience administering septic conversion programs and have an understanding of local sewer codes, ordinances, and permitting requirements. Have the ability to effectively communicate clearly both verbally and written communication skills.

    GENERAL PURPOSE

    Under general supervision, performs or assists in performing a wide variety of professional administrative, financial, legislative and other management analyses in support of District/SNWA initiatives, functions and programs; assists in formulating policy, procedure and legislative positions and in fund development and implementation; and performs related duties as assigned.

    DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Knowledge of:

    Principles, practices and methods of administrative and organizational analysis; public administration policies and procedures; business computer applications, particularly as related to statistical analysis and data management; financial/statistical/comparative analysis techniques and formulae; budget development and administration methodologies; basic functions of public agencies, including the role and responsibilities of a public governing board; principles and practices of sound business communications; correct English usage, including spelling, grammar and punctuation.

    Ability to:

    Analyze administrative, operational, organizational and legislative issues/problems, evaluate issues and alternatives and reach sound conclusions; identify and utilize appropriate methods to resolve problems with data accuracy, completeness and relevance; apply sound critical thinking skills in evaluating options and alternatives, reaching conclusions and recommending appropriate courses of action within established policy guidelines; interpret and explain laws, regulations, policies and procedures; prepare clear and concise reports, position papers, presentations and other written materials in statistical and narrative form for a variety of technical and non-technical audiences; maintain accurate records and files; use word processing, spreadsheet, graphics and database software applicable to carrying out assigned duties; coordinate multiple projects and meet critical deadlines; exercise sound judgment within established guidelines; establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, representatives of other governmental agencies, the public and others encountered in the course of the work.

    Training and Experience:

    A typical way of obtaining the knowledges, skills and abilities outlined above is graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in business or public administration or a closely related field; one year of professional experience performing administrative, statistical or procedural analyses and developing reports and related materials; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience in a government or public utility setting is highly desirable.

    A valid Nevada driver's license and ability to maintain insurability under the District's Vehicle Insurance Policy may be required for certain assignments.
