    Job Description Industrial Valve Manufacturer located in Kennett Square, PA is looking for a proven Government Account Manager.

    Are you well versed in securing Government Contracts?

    If so, the Government Account Manager position be an ideal position for you.

    Summary:

    This position manages key government sales related accounts. This position is responsible for overseeing the coordinated effort to ensure customer satisfaction and grow government related sales.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


    • Hunt: Aggressively prospect, identify, qualify, and develop sales pipeline within the U.S. Government Vertical – Department of Defense and Systems Integrators.


    • Drive efforts to meet and/or exceed revenue goals by developing opportunities with new and existing Federal Government customers.


    • Key manager of government accounts – liaison with all departments, maintaining contact with businesses and agencies to facilitate positive relationships and future opportunities.


    • Gain expertise in government product requirements as they relate to CPV Products; federal and market specific


    • Working closely with the Government Support Specialist coordinating with the Customer Service Manager as appropriate.


    • Uses government bid software to search out opportunities for CPV and acts to bring those opportunities to fruition


    • Lead preparation of technical and business proposals submitted in response to Government request for proposals for all government related businesses


    • Provide 'Voice of the Customer' with CPV, providing leadership oversight, coaching, and guidance to ensure customer requirements are understood, customer commitments are met, quality standards are maintained, customer issues are resolved, and customer relationships are fostered


    • Develops a strong operational working relationship with other departments to leverage their knowledge base


    • Develop relationships with industry partners by attending industry networking events to attain new contacts, promote the company, and gain interest in CPV's products.

    Skills:


    • 5+ years of successful DoD sales with expertise in at least one major DoD component (Army, Navy, Air Force).


    • Problem solving and attention to detail


    • Ability to demonstrate strong collaboration and relationship building skills across multiple levels and functions within and outside of the organization


    • Planning and organizing


    • Thorough oral, written, and interpersonal skills


    • Teamwork


    • Proficient in learning and using various government and government related portal and tools


    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:


    • Work environment is in the primarily in the office.


    • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.


    • Travel up to 25% of the time may be needed.
