Summary Description
Pursues business in markets that complement our overall services. Builds relationships with customers and serves as a liaison ensuring project expectations are met.


Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Complies with and ensures compliance with all Tri-M and customer safety policies and procedures
  • Complies with and ensures compliance with all Tri-M employment policies and procedures including standards of conduct and appearance to reflect positively on the Company
  • Works closely with VP on developing a targeted list of key accounts
  • Performs proper prequalification of new business pursuing "true" opportunities.
  • Navigates new business opportunities through relationship building and social activities.
  • Locates key decision makers within targeted organizations and establishes relationships.
  • Maintains close relationship with all respective clientele. Documents and pursues all potential capital projects within targeted clientele.
  • Conducts tactful follow up procedures and understands how to (close) open opportunities.
  • Maintains an uptodate sales pipeline report and reviews with supervisor on a biweekly basis.
  • Conducts site surveys and attends prebid meetings as needed and assists in design development.
  • Prepares material/labor cost estimates for budgetary estimating purposes.
  • Prepares formal, professionally written proposals as needed.
  • Conducts formal follow ups on all installations ensuring customer satisfaction and additional service opportunities are captured.
  • Maintains knowledge of latest technological trends ensuring the use of highquality, costeffective equipment and service methods are being utilized.

Job Qualifications

Skills/Educational Requirements:

  • College Degree in Telecommunications or Business a plus, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience in the telecommunications/electrical specialties industry or equivalent experience
  • BICSI certifications a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills a must.
  • Must be confident and possess the ability to build strong, longterm relationships.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Intermediate level of computer literacy including MS Office/MS Outlook/Salesforce and database management.
  • Strong organizational and prioritizing skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location/office.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Proven ability to manage and maximize revenue from an extensive portfolio of key accounts.
  • Ability to quickly develop a rapport based on trust.
  • Outstanding presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to develop opportunities with new or existing customers.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work under pressure.

Physical Requirements:


  • Working a minimum of 40 hours/week.
  • Sitting 6 to 8 hours/day.
  • Lifting weights of 0 to 30 lbs. from floor to above shoulders.
  • Repetitive use of hands for writing, typing, data entry, and filing.
  • Vision adequate for computer use and reading.
  • Hearing adequate for phone use.
  • Standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, bending, twisting, and walking as needed to perform site surveys to collect data for project design.
  • Balance adequate for climbing ladders, scaffolds, and lifts.
  • Environmental factors include working in: temperature extremes of 0 F to 100 F up to 8 hours inside or outside; atmospheric exposure to dust, gases, fumes, odors; and poor ventilation in confined spaces.
  • Special hazards include exposure to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and explosive hazards.
  • Personal protective equipment includes use of hard hat, safety glasses, steeltoed shoes, gloves and hearing protection.
