Description
Summer Analysts join for 10 weeks in June and are placed on a team within the Finance division.They will receive an intensive hands-on introduction to Finance at Morgan Stanley and broad exposure to the various functions across Finance.
Training Program:
The Summer Analyst Program begins with a one-day firmwide orientation, followed by a markets overview and business unit specific training.
Throughout the Summer, Analysts participate in:
senior management speaker seminars, a group project, community service, and social and networking events to build Summer Analysts' professional networks.
Department ProfileThe Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of ~3,000 employees worldwide.
Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm's books and records, and by contributing to firm wide risk management and risk reduction.
This division maintains relationships with Morgan Stanley's various industry and government regulators, and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community.
Finance plays a critical role as advisor to Morgan Stanley's various businesses and its senior management team.Role and Responsibilities
To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status.
Please note, the Finance Division is located in both New York City and Purchase, NY.
The Summer Analyst Program placements will primarily be in New York City, with recommended visits to Purchase depending on team placement.
Expected base pay rate for the role will be $32.45 per hour at the commencement of employment.However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
