    This is not a supervisory role.

    JOB SUMMARY: The Digital Skills and Technology Trainer will support the Goodwill Career Pathways Institute (GCPI) technology training certifications and classes that serve the public good. This includes teaching coursework such as Call Center, Call Center Supervisor, Workplace Computer Skills, Google IT certifications, and the Grow with Google initiative. This trainer will also provide Introduction to Computers classes for basic computer literacy and serve in and as part of the Employment Services Center (ESC).

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    * Facilitate GCPI certificate and employment programs offered under the Oklahoma Board of Private and Vocational Schools (OBPVS) through GCPI and as part of the Grow with Google partnership.

    * Train in the areas of MS Office, Google Apps, and Basic Computer skills.

    * Deliver technology training on a rotating basis.

    * Provide Roadshow training in the community on behalf of Goodwill.

    * Document training delivered, maintain accurate client training records, and maintain updated curriculum and materials.

    * Track client outcomes post-training.

    * Evaluate client/student performance and the ability to address concerns as needed.

    * Develop training under the supervision of the Director of Programs and Training.

    * Perform client assessment and reporting of results.

    * Participate in staff, inter-agency, or other project coordinating meetings.

    * Serve on internal and external committees as needed on behalf of Goodwill Industries of Central Oklahoma.

    * Serve as a support trainer with on-boarding new staff to the department.

    * Participate in staff, inter-agency or other project coordinating meetings.

    * Travel up to 40% of work time to train clients and employees.

    * Serve as back-up Mobile Trainer including the Mobile Training Unit services.

    * Other duties as assigned.

    Digital Skills and Technology Trainer- Job Description

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    * Technology proficiency is required and must be demonstrated prior to hire.

    Associate degree required. Bachelor's or related certifications preferred.

    * 2 years or more in technology field of study preferred.

    * 2 years of experience in public speaking or teaching individuals and/or groups.

    * Must pass background check as well as drug screening.

    * Must be willing and able to work in a prison and receive security clearance to do so.

    * Must have driver's license, valid insurance, and clean driving record.

    * Experience in job development for individuals with multiple barriers to employment.

    * Proficient in MS Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Suite, and Outlook as well as able to navigate the internet with ease.

    * Provide credentials in areas requested to teach (certificate programs).

    * Effectively communicate vocational information and help clients shift behaviors toward gainful employment.

    * Provide quality service delivery to those who have challenges to employment, meeting clients where they are at with their skills.

    * Display good interpersonal and observational skills, along with patience, understanding, and empathy for high barrier clients.

    * Possess strong analytical and organizational skills.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

    * Ability and stamina to present training to small and large groups of people.

    * This work is occasionally sedentary, but usually requires standing while teaching.

    * Employee is required to operate a computer.

    Digital Skills and Technology Trainer- Job Description

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    * Works in a climate controlled, office or retail environment most of the time except for when travelling to host sites.

    * Low noise level.

    * Travel to company and community locations as required.

    * Works variable hours as needed; however, the position will require mostly 8:00-5:00 Monday- Friday to align with the Employment Services Center.
