- Review project plans, requirements, and specifications to determine the total cost of materials, labor, and equipment needed for the project.
- Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project scope and requirements.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely cost estimates for bidding purposes.
- Analyze and evaluate supplier and subcontractor bids to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering alternatives.
- Maintain and update cost databases and estimating tools.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and post-bid negotiations as required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
