- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Manage and coordinate the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in collaboration with department heads and senior management.
- Perform detailed analysis of financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Review and approve accounting transactions, ensuring proper classification and treatment of expenses, accruals, and provisions.
- Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets, mitigate risks, and maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Lead and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster their professional development.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors during financial audits and tax filings, addressing inquiries and providing necessary documentation.
- Assist in special projects, initiatives, and process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices, ensuring compliance and recommending adjustments as needed.
- Participate in cross-functional teams and meetings to provide financial expertise, insights, and support for strategic initiatives and business decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and practices, including GAAP and IFRS.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling and analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop staff.
