Their team is passionate about innovation and excellence, driving our success in a competitive market.They are looking for a Lead Senior Accountant to join our finance team and play a crucial role in supporting our growth and financial health.
The Lead Senior Accountant will report directly to the Controller and will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of general ledger systems.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial reporting, analysis, and process improvement.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction and profit improvement.
Develop and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
General Ledger Management:
Oversee daily accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and maintenance of the general ledger.
Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported in compliance with GAAP.
Acquisitions Integrations:
Assist in the GL mapping and integration work of newly acquired companies.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

Team Leadership and Development:
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and sales, to support business initiatives.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including investors and auditors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Experience in the retail industry and private equity-owned companies is highly desirable.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite or Microsoft Dymamics/Great Plains) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
High level of integrity and commitment to ethical standards.
