Description
Hutchinson Island Marriott Resort is seeking an outgoing individual to join our Sales team as our Sales Manager.This position is responsible for managing accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and to solicit past and new business to ensure all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded; this will be achieved through site inspections.
Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are completed and documented.Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients. Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel and review competition.
Represent Resort at trade shows.
Hutchinson Island Marriott is beautifully situated on 200 acres bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway in Stuart, Florida on Hutchinson Island.
Activities offered around our resort include beach and water sports, an 18-hole golf course, a 77-slip private marina, 13 tennis courts, fitness center, and outdoor pools, as well as special daily events for kids and adults.
Guests staying with Hutchinson Island Marriott Resort are encouraged to have the full experience of enjoying events and activities while staying with us.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Actively solicit new business and respond to inquiries in a timely manner, with the intention of confirming group room and event business in order to achieve Quarterly and Annual Sales Goals.
Maintain an active follow-up system on all inquiries and sales calls.Research competitors on trends, offerings, and pricing.
Ensure the company remains competitive and relevant in the marketplace.
Assist in promotional and marketing activities.
Uncover clients' event and guest room needs through a creative approach of selling a vision and experienceNegotiate with clients using creative and attractive presentations and event design proposals, to achieve both maximum revenue/profit potential and fulfillment of contractual responsibilities while satisfying client needs.
Conduct property site tours and entertain planners and clientsWork directly with clients throughout the duration of the planning process, ensuring all details are planned accordinglyAct as the liaison for all vendor/supplier related clients' needs, (i.e. Audio Visual, Florists, Entertainment, Transportation, Off-site Locations etc.)Finalize the requirements of confirmed bookings while maximizing revenue potential through up-selling and ensuring effective communication, both written and in-person with all departments for the success of the event. Ensure accuracy of Banquet Checks and provide bill review on completion of program or event.Supervise the execution of events. Review all function space with banquet manager and when necessary head house attendant. Ensure satisfaction of client at the outset of all events.
Qualification Requirements:
Must have at least 2 years hotel sales experience or proven sales performance in similar field.
