The Police Athletic League (PAL) is the largest independent youth organization in New York City that provides educational and recreational activities for children and young adults.
PAL Inc.and The New York City Police Department work in partnership to provide communities with summer and after-school recreational and educational activities.
We are looking for
part-time seasonal SYEP Intake Coordinators who will be responsible for the pre-monitoring of all prospective worksites and completing all necessary pre-monitoring reports.
The position is available at the Youth Employment Department - Edward Byrne Center - Queens
Must be willing to travel throughout NYC 5 Boroughs
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Model and uphold all Agency rules.
- Must be willing to travel within NYC's 5 boroughs.
- Assist with the worksite development process as need.
- Assist with the SYEP job placement as needed.
- Assist with the maintenance of program files as needed.
- Enter monitoring reports into the DYCD YEPS system.
- Create and submit program related reports (excel and word documents) as requested.
- Work collaboratively and professionally with a varied group of colleagues.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Pay Rate:
$19.00 Per Hour Up to 30 Hours Per Week
Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience working in an office environment, with prior data entry experience preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google.
- Ability to work independently and in a group.
