    Closing Date: 5/8/2024 11:59 PM CentralPosition Description The Workforce Development Director will carry out the objectives of the Public Health Infrastructure Grant which promotes a modernized workforce for MPHD through establishing enhanced processes, procedures, and standard practices for the entire MPHD.

    The position will work to develop and implement HR business strategies that include talent acquisition, training, and strengthening employee well-being.

    Typical Duties Support vision and strategy development for teams, individuals, and human resources by creating success opportunities through idea development, facilitation, consultation, coaching and mentoring.

    Help establish human resources as a driver of culture/people health and well-being from employee recruiting through separation.

    Actively develop agency culture strategies that increase alignment between our culture and core values and enhance the health of MPHDs internal and external constituent relations.

    Actively develop agency strategies that intentionally increase the health and well-being of MPHDs employees.
    Assess gaps in skills, using data science evaluate and develop continuous learning plans for staff.

    Works to enhance development and effectiveness of MPHDs people strategies, to support improved decision-making regarding people matters across the entire organizationDevelop and launch employee focused strategies that elevate employee experience with focus on equity, implements the outward mindset.

    Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to leadership and other internal and external partners. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field.
    Four (4) years of progressively responsible full-time paid employment in related field.
    Three (3 )years of public administration or supervisory experience.
    Completed graduate degree in a directly related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience.

    Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Masters Degree from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of professional HR and/or workforce development experience.

    Experience in direct organizational development or public administration with proven experience in staffing, benefits, and/or workforce development.

    Proficiency in the development and implementation of workforce strategies such as recruitment and hiring; onboarding; learning and growth; leader development; and engagement and retention.

    Skill in planning and directing activities that support the professional development and wellbeing of the public health workforce.

    Certification(s) in coaching, facilitation, leadership development, change management or other related certifications in support of culture and employee well being.

    Experience developing and maintaining trusted relationships and innovative partnerships.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to include the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts and build teams.
    Ability to implement change in a positive, sensitive, and forward- thinking manner.
    Ability to conduct effective studies, surveys, and analyses.
