This individual will manage high profile customers and develop collaborative andproductive working relationships with Kroger, Albertson's and HEB.In addition to customer and team management responsibilities,this role will also collaborate with internal stakeholders from sales operations, finance, supply/customer service,category management, customer marketing.
Function Related Activities/Key ResponsibilitiesOversees the activities of the GSD National Accounts, including but not limited to, maintaining relationships that grow our business, achieving established performance scorecards, handling customer issues, developing sales within accounts, analyzing and controlling department expenditures, preparing sales reports, implementing process improvements, participating in trade shows, etc.
Effectively leverage internal resources (e.g. finance, marketing, technology, sales network) to maximize opportunities with key strategic customers.Ensures demand planning forecast and purchase orders are accurate and submitted in a timely mannerCreates measures of success and ensures profitability and sustainability of accounts.
Ensures adherence to all key customer contracts.Works with the product development, marketing and/or sales group to align with the companys growth strategy.
Explores and evaluates business development opportunities and facilitates expansion of existing and new business opportunities for the company.
Manages multiple projects involving cross-functional teams with competing priorities, developing and monitoring project schedules and timelines to identify and meet critical milestonesProvide information on market trends, the organizations competitive position, customer programs, etc.
in order to determine program and service strategies for the customers.Assists with the development of the company 5-year strategic plan, the annual operating plan and all major promotion and new item introductionsPartners with VP Sales GSD to develop long-term strategic sales plan.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.May be requested to perform different or additional duties as assignedPosition RequirementsBachelors degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university and 7 years of successful CPG sales experience in the retail/grocery industry, specifically with national or regional, large revenue accounts preferred; OR equivalent combination of education and experience3 years of major account sales management experience; Kroger, Albertson's and HEB experience strongly preferredExperience leveraging data to retail analytic application and management capabilities, i.e.
syndicated data (Nielsen and/or IRI), 84.51 Stratum, and other customer specific applicationsCustomer /Trade Marketing experience and Category Management experienceDemonstrated ability to prepare and conduct executive business reviews, Joint Business Plans and presentationsStrong Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word) capabilitiesWhat Were Looking ForMust be a strategic and collaborative leader with the ability to set clear priorities and pathway to successPhysical Demands/Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
