- Identify and resolve AN/SPY Radar Signal Processor/Antenna Group equipment and documentation discrepancies
- Submit AN/SPY Radar Signal Processor/Antenna Group equipment status reports
- Assist in the resolution of SPY logistics issues
- Review drawings, documents, and test procedures. Report recommendations for improvement or discrepancies noted
- Lead or participate in ship checks to accomplish surveys of the Combat System spaces.
- Develop Power Point presentations as required.
- Participate in meetings and phone conferences when required by the government sponsor.
- Assist in the resolution of Combat System space arrangement issues occurring on the waterfront during equipment installations.
- Ensure AN/SPY Radar Signal Processor/Antenna Group equipment is activated, operational and properly configured to support each test event. Assist during test conduct.
- Assist ship yard and installation teams with equipment issues
- Assist with collection and analysis of AN/SPY Radar Signal Processor/Antenna Group performance data
- Support/perform government conducted tests on respective systems- in port and at sea
- Ensure Safe in-port radiation practices are followed
- Support crew familiarization and training
- Assist in CSAV efforts.
- Assess system installation and operation in support of upcoming milestones. Report results as directed.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline/experience is required (Master's degree is preferred, but will accept years of experience in lieu of)
- A US DoD Secret security clearance is required.
- Over Ten (10+) years of experience as an SPY Antenna/Signal Processing Technician for Navy Ships
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger GDIT Navy and Marine Corps Sector
- US Citizenship is required

At GDIT, people are our differentiator.As a SI&T SPY Antenna/Signal Processing Technician supporting PEO IWS, you will be trusted to bring together a multi-disciplinary team that is geographically dispersed to provide engineering planning, design, integration, installation, and test of Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) onboard ships post-construction and during maintenance availabilities.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the AN/SPY Radar Signal Processor/Antenna Group is operable and available to support testing.
Coordinates with the AN/SPY Radar Systems Engineer for signal processor/antenna matters. Assists in identifying, isolating and repairing signal processor/antenna equipment problems.Specific responsibilities include:
