    Description

    We are looking for a resourceful and highly experienced professional to manage construction and perform facilities maintenance for a prestigious estate in Newport Beach. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ultra luxury residence construction management, complex facilities maintenance, and operational leadership. This role requires deep knowledge of high quality building construction, complex HVAC and pool systems, as well as state-of-the-art automation systems. The job requires exceptional organizational skills, hands-on attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the estate's infrastructure and ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Construction Project Management

    • Lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion, including new builds, renovations, and infrastructure upgrades.
    • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective measures as needed.
    • Manage all aspects of project documentation, including contracts, permits, plans, and specifications.

    2. Facilities Operations

    • Develop and implement comprehensive facilities maintenance programs to ensure the estate's infrastructure remains in optimal condition.
    • Oversee routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and upgrades for buildings, grounds, utilities, and equipment.
    • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to assess maintenance needs, identify safety hazards, and address any deficiencies promptly.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to support facility operations and maintenance activities.

    3. Budgeting and Financial Management

    • Prepare and manage budgets for construction projects, facility maintenance, and operational expenses.
    • Monitor expenditures, track costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
    • Provide regular financial reports and updates to estate management, highlighting budget variances and forecasting future expenses.

    4. Team Leadership and Training

    • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of maintenance staff, contractors, and service providers.
    • Delegate tasks, assign responsibilities, and provide ongoing guidance and support to ensure team members perform effectively and efficiently.
    • Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and accountability within the maintenance team, promoting adherence to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

    5. Compliance and Risk Management

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing construction, facilities management, and occupational health and safety.
    • Implement and maintain comprehensive risk management protocols to mitigate potential hazards and liabilities.
    • Conduct regular safety training sessions and emergency preparedness drills for staff and contractors.

    Qualifications:

    • Technical and field experience in construction, and facility maintenance of ultra luxury residential is required.
    • Proven experience in construction management, facilities operations, or estate management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
    • Strong technical knowledge of building systems, construction methodologies, and facility maintenance practices.
    • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing demands, and meet deadlines.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders, including senior management, staff, vendors, and contractors.
    • Proficiency in project management software, computer-aided design (CAD) tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, CFM) and licenses may be advantageous.
