    Job Description Summary


    Role is on the LEAP Services Team, with the focus on owning and executing the LEAP Wiebulls to support SPMT, fleet model, field issues, warranties, and business plans.


    The role also includes ownership of LEAP TOW which requires integration across Services, MEF, Systems Fleet Stabilty, Digital Services, Services Technology, Customer teams, and Lifecycle Engineering to ensure TOW forecasts and PRSV forecasts are correct across all LEAP models (1A, 1B, and 1C).

    Systems engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process.


    All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the users needs.


    The discipline that executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed.

    Process that proceeds from concept to production to operation.
    Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. The role is subject to operating policy objectives. There is moderate autonomy within the role.

    High levels of operational judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.

    Job Description

    Roles and Responsibilities

    Conducts Weibull analysis to support field issues, SPMT, fleet model, MEF models, new topics, and LEAP warranty and business plans.

    Provide consultation and coaching to LEAP engineering team on Weibull analyses

    Responsible for LEAP TOW which includes LEAP TOW bowler owner providing updates to Services and CEO leadership, providing time on wing advice to customer teams, PRSV forecasting for Services team, removal estimations, and directing issues to Digital Services and generating productive answers to Engineering.

    Conducts component and product integration.

    All activities that span multiple components and products and are concerned with how to integrate for maximum performance and operability.

    Manages product and systems requirements, specifications and flow down. Drives validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system level testing. Responsible for defining product requirements for the module / component / subcontractors and partners teams. Manages interface between components and execution organizations.
    Responsible for driving CTQ / Risk trades within the teams designing the components. Manages the overall product configuration and configuration control system.
    Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
    Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.

    Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering.

    Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
    May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.

    Required Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
    Minimum of 5 years' experience in systems engineering

    Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
    Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
