Under direction of the Information Technology Manager I, on the Centralized Revenue Opportunity System (CROS) Production Support Team, the Information Technology (IT) Specialist I works as an independent technical specialist on complex Information Technology Systems for the CROS.

The incumbent designs, develops and implements CROS applications.

The incumbent participates in all stages of the System Development life cycle of the GenTax and CROS application such as but not limited to requirements analysis, design, development, unit test, create test scenarios, deployments, maintenance and production support.

The incumbent will also assist with moderate sized IT system studies or project deliverables and may participate with other analyst on the IT system studies of complex nature or broad scope.

The incumbent will work closely with business analysts, business users, vendors, contractors, and California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) staff to provide the necessary support for the implementation of the CROS applications.

The IT Specialist I may also assist in the planning of the rollout and implementation of the CROS system and data conversion and may act as a Lead as needed.

Travel may be required up to 5% of the time.
