    Position is located in the Out-of-State Sacramento Office.

    Under the close supervision of the Business Taxes Administrator (BTA) I, the Business Taxes Representative (BTR) will learn all phases of tax compliance, licensing, laws, rules, and regulation administration. The BTR will pull cases through the Centralized Revenue Opportunity System (CROS). The BTR will work registration, collections and Use Tax exemption and California Nexus cases of moderate difficulty. In addition, the BTR will investigate business operations for tax evasion and/or non-compliance. The BTR must keep the BTA I informed of complex issues on assigned cases. The accounts are worked from the office by telephone, email, and mail. Work is performed by use of a personal computer in accessing the individual's caseload. Actions taken are initiated and recorded on the personal computer, as are the case notes. Provide taxpayer support and assistance on the Customer Service Center (CSC) telephone system.

    Travel may be required up to 5% of the time, which may include overnight.

    Under Government Code 14200, this position may be eligible for full or part-time telework for eligible candidates residing in California.
