- Experience with GMAW, SMAW, FCAW and GTAW welding procedures is required.
- Experience with welding in 3G and 4G positions is preferred.
- Knowledge of welding positioners, power rolls and associated set-ups is preferred.
- Knowledge of commonly used filler metals for carbon and stainless steels is preferred.
- Knowledge of casted metals welding procedures is a plus, but not required.
- Knowledge of pre-heating and cooling processes is a plus.
- Comprehension of blueprints and drawings is preferred.
- Obey all safety rules and regulations.
- Ability to fulfill all attendance and time requirements.
- Previous forklift and/or overhead crane experience is preferred.
- Positive, can-do, team-oriented attitude.

- This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday-Saturday 6:00AM to 4PM. Saturdays and/or Sundays are required dependent on shop workload.
- Working environment is in an industrial shop; non-climate controlled and is often times hot / humid. Frequent exposure to moving equipment, machines and shop tools, and other safety-sensitive hazards / risks. Must always be alert and able to safely perform the essential duties of the job without risking harm to oneself or others.

Today, Mid-State employees over 500 people serving the Phosphate, Chemical, Power, Citrus, Sand & Aggregate, and many other industries by offering turnkey solutions including field maintenance, fabrication, dragline repair, machining, pump repair, gearbox repair, and valve repair. Mid-State is equipped with industry experts, over 200,000 square feet of shop space, and overhead crane capacity up to 35 tons all which allow us to meet all of our clients' needs.
Job Summary
As a Industrial Welder, you will be expected to weld using GMAW, SMAW, FCAW and GTAW procedures. You will be expected to remove material using air-arcs, torches, and plasma cutters.
