Construction Engineer

We are seeking a Construction Engineer in our

Waukesha office .

The successful candidate will help make community possible through project management, design, field observation, and reporting on a wide variety of projects.

Responsibilities and Duties

Duties for this position include but are not limited to:

Perform construction management and review activities to ensure that construction materials and methods meet specifications.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Communicate project information to contractors, project managers, and municipal officials.
Interact with the public answering questions and addressing concerns.
Recommend solutions to construction-related questions/concerns or elevate them to a higher level for resolution.
Perform project planning and design and design on a variety of municipal infrastructure projects (primarily during the construction off-season).

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following education, experience, and abilities:

Experience in construction, construction inspection and/or construction management.
Enjoys working in the municipal engineering field and enjoys working with other professionals.
Be self-sufficient with the ability to meet deadlines and lead project components.
Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Civil, Environmental, or Agricultural Engineering (or a related degree).
AutoCAD Civil 3D basic knowledge (preferred but not required).
Have strong communication skills and be comfortable working directly with clients and contractors.
