    THIS IS FOR A NIGHT TIME POSTION

    About Us

    Bunker is a unique bar located in the West Loop area, serving classic bar dishes. All of our recipes are made from scratch, and we pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality food and drinks to our patrons. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Line Cook to join our team. The Line Cook will work closely with our Kitchen Operations Manager, and Owner, to develop recipes and add weekly specials. This role offers the opportunity to have a significant impact on our kitchen operations and menu development.

    Work Schedule: Evening Shifts

    Work Environment: Laid-back atmosphere, often solo in the kitchen

    Perks: Access to building facilities, including gym and pool


    Responsibilities
    • Follow Recipes and Execution: Meticulously follow our original recipes to prepare dishes to specification and according to training guidelines.
    • Workspace Preparation and Sanitization: Ensure all equipment and your workstation are sanitized and prepared for cooking. Maintain a clean workspace at all times.
    • Basic Kitchen Functions: Perform essential kitchen tasks, such as demonstrating clean knife skills, sauce preparation, etc.
    • Inventory Management: Label, stock, and inventory all ingredients. Stay in regular communication with the Chef and Kitchen Manager about low or out-of-stock items.
    • Supplies Transfer: Efficiently transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas as needed.
    Qualifications
    • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate and listen effectively to team members. As you may often work solo in the kitchen, the ability to work independently and efficiently is crucial.
    • Commitment to Quality: Must be dedicated to excellence in both product preparation and delivery.
    • Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of line cook experience is required.
    • Language: Native Spanish speaker is a plus, but not a requirement.

    Responsabilidades
