    Summary/Purpose

    The Manager of Workforce Solutions is responsible for spearheading customized training development, represents the organization in local and sector collaborations, enhances visibility for Summit's training solutions, and excels in employer engagement. Key duties encompass identifying business training needs, creating tailored curriculums, collaborating with experts, overseeing logistics, and evaluating program effectiveness. This role is pivotal in building employer partnerships, monitoring industry trends, and advancing the community workforce development mission. Reporting to the Director of Education and Training, this position underscores superior customer service and organizational contribution.

    Conducts outreach, cultivates and drives workforce partnerships to build brand visibility

    • Develop and implement outreach and workforce development engagement strategies for partnerships that align with the company's needs in creating career pathways for future talent.
    • Drive brand visibility of the organization and position Summit as a leader in customized training solutions
    • Identify, assess industry and business training needs, and research high-demand training options
    • Inform and implement a customized training strategic plan that ties directly into the organization-wide Strategic Plan, focusing on increasing non-credit and business and industry offerings that drive impact.
    • Work with the Director of Education and Training for possible grant opportunities to enhance non-credit and business and industry training opportunities
    • Develop high-visibility networks in the community by attending business events and community meetings.

    Manage customized training offerings driving student success

    • Partner with employers in the development of curriculum and evaluation of programs, courses, services, and trainings. Ensure best practice principles continuously inform the analysis, design, development, implementation and execution of customized training offerings.
    • Manage, coordinate, and drive continuous improvement measures to support existing customized training offerings within the organization
    • Ensure an excellent student experience from point of inquiry, enrollment, retention, graduation and placement success, partnering with the organization's support teams.
    • Coordinate the technologies and technical personnel required to develop, manage and deliver training.
    • Identify opportunities for badging and transcribing credentials earned through non-credit and business and industry training.

    Program Administration and Coordination

    • Manage and oversee processes, protocols and procedures across the student matriculation lifecycle
    • Track, monitor and report on student inquiries, enrollment, retention, completion and placements, utilizing internal database and software applications.
    • Partner with departments to ensure continuous performance improvement including but not limited to the enrollment team, registrar's office, student success support services, and evaluation.
    • Partner with marketing to drive visibility of customized training, recruitment and outreach, and employer partnerships.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Knowledgeable of workforce development practices, systems, and program design in addition to training systems
    • Proven ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the organization including senior leadership is required
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills including ability to create and give presentations to large groups and individuals
    • Excellent in Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Survey Monkey preferred
    • Position requires people management responsibility
    • Strong organizational and budgetary management skills

    Work Environment

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    Physical Demands

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is not eligible for overtime. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position may require occasional evening or weekend work.

    Travel

    Occasional local travel is required

    Required Education & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, or Related field required. Relevant experience may be substituted for education.
    • Two (2)+ plus years of demonstrated experience in curriculum development in post-secondary education

    Preferred Education & Experience

    • § Experienced in online learning and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
    • Strong organizational and budgetary management skills
    • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
    • Adept in solving basic technical issues (audio/AV/Zoom etc.)
