    Job Description
    • This position is a master's-level position and it requires experience in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
    • The program runs Monday through Friday from 4:00pm until 6:30pm Monday-Friday doing the School year. LC will need to be present at least 30 minutes prior to/after program start/end time.
    • The LC will provide intervention to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders to address age-appropriate social skills, emotion regulation, and self-management.
    • LC will implement empirically supported treatments, including the Social Thinking Model, for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
    • The LC will work in collaboration with other providers to develop and implement a behavioral modification plan utilizing strengths-based and empathic methods.
    • LC must ensure that the plans are individualized to the needs of the child/adolescent and to the needs of the family.
    • All members of the treatment team, including the BSC and parent(s) of the child, participate in team meetings.
    • LC is required to complete progress notes, and various other documents, as a means to maintain the electronic medical record for the child, in compliance with state and federal standards.

    Requirements

    • Mental health clinician with current Behavioral Specialist License (BSL) preferred
    • Experience and training working with children with Autism and their families
    • Master's Degree from an accredited university in a clinical mental health discipline such as: Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Psychiatric Nursing, and/or Marriage and Family therapy
    • Training in behavior analysis/modification (minimum of eight (8) hours prior to hire, eight (8) hours annually thereafter). This training is periodically provided by NET.
    • Regular/documented clinical supervision by a licensed clinical psychologist.
    • Two (2) years verified post-Master's experience providing mental health treatment to children, and at least one (1) year experience using behavior analysis/modification techniques.
    • Preferred experience in Verbal Behavior Techniques, PRT and DTT
    • Preferred experience and training in Functional Behavioral Assessment
    • BCBA and ABA credentials are also preferred.
