Compensation and Benefits

  • As an insurancebased practice, we know there is a difference between what therapists _
should_ _get paid and what we can _
actually _pay. We do our best to offer competitive and transparent compensation while working within the limitations of what insurers are willing to pay._

For full-time salaried folks, we pay $60k-$70k annually. We offer a straightforward salary model
- no deductions for cancellations, no percentage splits, no bonuses for adding unmanageable extra sessions, etc. We also offer a comprehensive healthcare benefits package (including medical, dental, and vision coverage), retirement savings plan options, paid time off, and professional development opportunities for continued learning and growth.

For part-time or fee-for-service folks, we pay $60-$65.00 a session. We charge the client a $50.00 fee for last-minute cancellations and no shows, all of which goes to you. We provide biweekly direct deposit for all sessions seen (regardless of if insurance payment was received), an annual stipend for continuing education, Simple Practice EMR with integrated telehealth, and manage all marketing, referrals, and billing.

It seems like every practice is hiring right now, so we know you have tons of choices.

We strive to stand out among the sea of therapy practices in multiple ways
:

-
We are not a therapy mill. We do not hire any 1099 contractors and we are serious about providing the highest-quality care while also taking the best care of the folks providing it While we have to consider productivity (because that's how we keep the lights on), we will never make you feel like that is the priority or sacrifice quality or morale in exchange for untenable workloads. Too many therapists are underappreciated (at best) or exploited (at worst) and SpeakEasy is based upon a commitment to change that
-
We stay in our lane. You will never be expected to take on a client if you do not have the skills or comfort-level to do so. Besides being unethical, it also contributes to burnout and greater job dissatisfaction.
-
We are transparent. In a growing practice, things are always evolving. However, you won't be kept in the dark. We make decisions collaboratively as far as possible; when we can't, we notify folks as soon as possible and provide the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.
-
We have high standards but don't micromanage. We were founded by a former college professor/seasoned clinician who has a passion for clinical excellence, ethical standards, and innovative and creative practice. The best fit for our practice is someone who knows what they are doing and doesn't want/need regular oversight, but also
