    Job Title: Senior Tax Accountant

    Location: San Antonio, TX.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Job Overview: As a Senior Tax Accountant at a Local Firm, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing various aspects of our clients' tax compliance needs. Your responsibilities will include preparing complex tax returns, providing strategic tax planning advice, and ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations. This role requires a high level of expertise in tax accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Tax Compliance:
    • Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns in compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
    • Research and interpret tax laws to ensure accurate and up-to-date compliance.
    • Identify tax planning opportunities and potential risks for clients.
  • Client Interaction:
    • Communicate directly with clients to gather necessary information, address inquiries, and provide tax-related guidance.
    • Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and timely communication.
  • Tax Planning:
    • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize clients' tax liabilities.
    • Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations to proactively advise clients on potential impacts.
  • Supervision and Mentoring:
    • Supervise and mentor junior tax accountants, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
    • Review the work of team members to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards.
  • Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with other departments within the firm, such as audit and advisory teams, to provide comprehensive client services.
    • Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance overall firm effectiveness.
  • Continuous Learning:
    • Stay current with industry trends, emerging tax issues, and technological advancements to enhance personal and team knowledge.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree or CPA preferred.
    • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on individual, corporate, and partnership taxation.
    • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
    • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
