    We are an all-season commercial landscape service company, known for our commitment to excellence and a dynamic approach to professional services. We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Controller/Office Manager to oversee our financial and office management functions, ensuring efficiency and compliance across all operations.

    Job Description:


    The Controller/Office Manager will be responsible for managing both the financial and administrative activities of the company. This role includes maintaining accurate financial records, managing payroll, handling employee relations, and ensuring the smooth operation of our office on a day-to-day basis.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Manage all aspects of bookkeeping including accounts receivable, accounts payable, journal entries, and preparing financial statements.
    • Conduct detailed reviews of financial statements, bank transactions, and cash flow to ensure accuracy and provide insights for financial planning.
    • Maintain and update accounting systems (QuickBooks, Jobber).
    • Handle all banking needs, including reconciliations, banking relationships, and managing loans.
    • Oversee payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment and compliance with tax laws.
    • Manage office operations including answering phones supervising staff and ensuring the team has the support they need.
    • Provide direct support to the management team and assist in the preparation and coordination of staff meetings.
    • Serve as a point of contact for client communication via email and telephone.
    • Coordinate with CPA for tax preparation and resolving issues.
    • Manage human resources functions including hiring, onboarding, employee relations, and managing unemployment claims.
    • Oversee compliance with insurance, legal, safety, and other regulatory matters.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, clients, and management.
    • Handle special projects and research as needed to support business growth and operational needs.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
    • Proven experience as a Controller, Office Manager, or similar role, preferably in the landscaping industry.
    • Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and human resources management.
    • Experience with QuickBooks Online, Jobber (this is a plus), and Microsoft Office suite.
    • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
    • Ability to multitask and manage various project elements simultaneously.
    • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
    • Notary certification is preferred but not required.
    • Knowledge of H2B process and related compliance is a bonus.
