    Description

    Responsibilities:


    Take charge of the design of laser module drivers and optics assembly, guiding the process from conceptualization to high-volume production.

    Conduct simulations of optical lens and die-to-lens assembly to develop laser packaging flows.
    Perform characterization of laser performance, encompassing tasks such as wavelength tuning, locking, stability, and others.

    Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of laser modules and provide support throughout the product development lifecycle.

    Document findings and reports for internal stakeholders and engage in communication with external vendors and partners.


    Qualifications:


    Hold a graduate degree (MS or higher) in a relevant technical field (such as Electrical Engineering, Optics, Applied Physics, or similar).

    Possess 7 or more years of hands-on, demonstrated experience in designing and packaging semiconductor laser modules operating at O- or C-bands.

    Exhibit profound knowledge of laser components and their specific requirements within a laser module, coupled with the ability to optimize designs to meet product specifications.

    Demonstrate understanding of thermal and mechanical considerations in design.
    Have working proficiency in numerical simulation tools like Zemax/Lumerical, with familiarity preferred.
    Ideally, have knowledge of various 2D/2.5D/3D packaging schemes.
    Showcase experience in designing for manufacturability and automated assembly and characterization.
    Ability to interpret engineering specifications, drawings, manufacturing instructions, and technical analyses effectively.
