    Description

    Part of the Interparfums group established in 1982, Interparfums USA is responsible for developing, producing, and distributing high-end perfumes and cosmetics as the exclusive global licensee for various prestigious brands. The Manager, Packaging Development & Sourcing position entails overseeing the introduction of new products and packaging solutions to the market, as well as driving cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities. This role requires a technical background in Packaging Engineering, a solid understanding of different fragrance packaging materials and configurations, and the ability to manage multiple projects across different brands simultaneously.

    This role is primarily office-based from Mondays to Thursdays, with remote work on Fridays.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assessing the feasibility and impact of each packaging concept in terms of manufacturability, cost, investments, and lead times
    • Collaborating with external vendors to establish specifications, design criteria, quality standards, and expectations from component production to assembly
    • Developing sourcing and supply chain strategies for a global vendor portfolio
    • Ensuring that all programs align with Brand requirements while meeting design, quality, cost, and delivery objectives
    • Identifying risks and creating mitigation plans for the Operations team
    • Introducing innovative packaging concepts, technologies, and industry trends to drive continuous innovation
    • Providing ongoing support to maintain stock coverage
    • Performing other duties as assigned

    Education/Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or a related field
    • Over 3 years of experience in packaging development and engineering within the Fragrance or Beauty sectors
    • Experience in sourcing is advantageous

    Required Skills

    • Sound knowledge of packaging manufacturing and contract manufacturing processes
    • Technical expertise in materials such as injection molding, glass forming, dispensing systems, and carton/box design
    • Excellent communication skills for internal and external interactions
    • Self-motivated individual who excels in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and adapt to changing priorities
