    Description

    LHH, f.k.a. Parker+Lynch is partnering with a company in the Greater Pittsburgh Area that is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their Corporate Accounting team.

    • Drive monthly financial close process ensuring accurate financial results and requirements are complete within corporate timelines
    • Maintain the closing of financial systems
    • Assist with the preparation of monthly forecasts and the annual operating budget
    • Assist Controller with any other duties/projects as assigned
    • The role will participate in the month end financial statement closing process and will prepare internal and external financial reports.
    • Perform general accounting activities requiring general insight and depth of understanding.
    • Specific tasks will include preparing journal entries, reconciling account balances, review of invoices for appropriate classification and other operational duties, as well as executing well?defined steps in accounting analysis, forecasting and budgeting activities.
    • Assist in preparation of internal and external financial statements; support external reporting process. Investigate accounts; understand and communicate causes of variances between actual, forecasted, budgeted and last year results.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance
    • 3-6 years of experience preferred
    • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communicator across all levels of the organization. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to present information in a meaningful & concise formats
    • Strong leadership skills with an ability to affect change through objective analysis and reason
    • Highly organized, with strong multi-tasking skills to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and demands
    • Strong systems orientation to ensure maximizing current reporting systems
    • Advanced proficiency level in MS Excel and PowerPoint
