We currently have an immediate opening for an Internal Sales Coordinator located in City of Industry, California.

    Job Summary:

    The Internal Sales Coordinator maintains communication with Astrophysics agents in assigned territories, searches for new sales opportunities, and responds to tenders. This role processes quotations to customers and issues internal sales orders. The Internal Sales Coordinator maintains customer files and assists in collections from customers and agents in assigned territories.

    Essential Functions:

    Maintain relationship with Astrophysics agents in assigned territories

    • Conduct weekly communication with agents to track status of pending orders and tenders
    • Assist in collection of balances from past due accounts
    • Comply with Astrophysics' customer courtesy code when communicating with customers

    Generating new sales opportunities

    • Conduct internet searches for new sales opportunities in assigned territories
    • Respond to tenders for sales in assigned territories

    Order processing

    • Ensure that quotations for custom products follow due process
    • Review customer PO upon receipt and compare with quotation
    • Prepare, submit for approval, and send approved order confirmations to customers
    • Enter customer PO into ERP system and generate an Astrophysics sales order
    • Submit copies of sales orders to accounting, production, material handling, service and logistics
    • Maintain customer file
    • Weekly meetings with production, logistics and technical support departments to track status of open orders
    • Weekly meetings with accounts receivable to track the credit status of each customer
    • Assist accounts receivable in collections from agents in assigned territories that have past due accounts
    • Follow up with customer at shipping of orders

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration (B.A.) or related field
    • 1-2 years of related experience
    • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Word Processing, Spreadsheet and Internet software
    • Bilingual - able to communicate, write and read in Spanish preferred

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

    • Full-time, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
    • (Hours subject to change based on the needs of the business.)
