    About the unit

    With 2 floors and 164 beds we are able to provide care for long term care residents and post-acute rehab patients. Nurse-patient ratios vary depending on the shift and the population you will be serving. It has a long term care unit and a rehab unit. Each floor has designated units that focus on patient specialties, such as general rehab, neuro rehab, traumatic brain injuries and cancer. Offers integrated services with a common mission: to provide goal orientated, compassionate care while living a healthy and active life to the greatest level possible.

    About Rehab and Nursing Center-Kentridge

    We are located on a 10-acre campus. Our indoor and outdoor spaces are designed to provide opportunities for improving independence, strength, and confidence. Two main floor courtyards provide outdoor space for rest and renewal. Most patient rooms are private, and have an attached bathroom and shower, television with cable, phone, and a large window. Each unit has a large and accessible living and dining space, and a menu-based meal service is provided.

    Scope of work

    Assumes shift accountability for managing, supervising, and coordinating the operational and financial effectiveness and efficiency of the nursing service. Some service lines may require the ability to be available for on-call to better support the nursing services. Assists with development of policies, procedures and processes in coordination with unit leaders to ensure the highest quality services are provided at all times to all customers. Key responsibilities include assisting with the following: department based goal setting, program development, fiscal management, resource allocation, standards of care, policy and procedure development and interpretation, human resource development, performance improvement and maintenance of interdisciplinary collaborative relationships. Will provide oversight to the registered nurse and licensed practical nurse clinical practices. Will participate in on-call duties as assigned. Assume House Supervisor role as neede

    Qualifications

    *
  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree
    * 1 year of relevant experience Clinical experience in area of specialty Preferred
    * Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
    * CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or
    * CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
