    Description

Currently, we are seeking a driven Purchasing professional to join our team in North America.

    Job Description

    We are in search of a Purchasing Manager (Full-Time) to play a key role in setting up and overseeing a new purchasing department in Canada. Your responsibilities will involve close collaboration with our existing purchasing team in the United States, supporting the Canadian sales division, and taking the lead in managing procurement across various product categories. This includes liaising with NNZ's approved international suppliers, ensuring smooth logistical operations in conjunction with our Logistics Manager, and maintaining precise data in our ERP system to enhance operational efficiency and overall success.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Establish and oversee a new purchasing department in Canada while maintaining close ties with the U.S. procurement team.
    • Assist the sales team by procuring products from globally certified vendors.
    • Manage logistics in coordination with the logistics team to streamline cost-effective deliveries.
    • Maintain accurate product information in the ERP system, ensuring data integrity.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 5 years' experience in purchasing management within the packaging industry or a related field.
    • In-depth knowledge of key markets and strong analytical skills for effective vendor selection.
    • Proficient organizational, negotiation, communication, and leadership capabilities.
    • Familiarity with ERP systems is essential.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with sales and logistics departments seamlessly.

    Job Specifications

    • Develop and execute purchasing strategies in line with NNZ's global directives.
    • Regularly assess and optimize supplier relationships to ensure quality and cost-efficiency.
    • Manage inventory levels and work with sales and finance to forecast demand accurately.
    • Conduct regular stakeholder meetings to address updates, challenges, and enhance processes.
    • Provide training and guidance to the purchasing team to drive departmental and company objectives.
