*Job Description:

*Dates of Coverage*: ASAP – 13 Weeks with option to extend

*Setting*: NICU - Hospital - Level III NICU

*Daily Responsibilities*: Seeing patients in NICU; Attending C-Sections, High Risk Deliveries; Must be comfortable with Chest Tube Insertion, Central Lines, Intubations. Will not do Circumcisions; Interprets antenatal/perinatal health history. Assesses gestational age. Performs resuscitation of newborns in delivery room and in Neonatal Units with use of bag and mask, laryngoscopy, endotracheal intubation, cardiac compressions, intravenous access and emergency medications. Performs physical exams and evaluations on infants in the Delivery, Neonatal and Mother-Baby Units. Performs specialized procedures on high-risk infants to include umbilical artery and vein catheterization, endotracheal intubation, suprapubic bladder taps, lumbar puncture, peripheral central venous catheterization, peripheral artery catheterization, needle aspiration of pneumothorax, sepsis work-ups and other procedures following clinical competencies for advanced practice.

Call Schedule/Responsibilities:
Flexible Schedule but hours are either 7a-7p or 7p-7a. 3 Shifts On/Off rotation or willing to work around another schedule, if provider prefers

PPD/Census:
NICU Daily Census 12-14; Delivery estimated 1,200-1,300/Year. The provider attends C Sections and High Risk Deliveries.

*Certifications required/accepted*: BLS from AHA, Neonatal Resuscitation Certification, Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certificate

Credentialing Time frame – Are temps available: Estimated 30-60 Days upon application submitted
