    Description

    Job Description:

    This position is for a full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to work in a hospital, including some overnight shifts. The main responsibility will be to provide direct care to a group of infants with varying degrees of risk. This will involve assessing, diagnosing, treating, and performing technical procedures under physician collaboration, all while advocating for patients and their families.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Assess gestational age and interpret antenatal/perinatal health history
    • Resuscitate newborns in delivery rooms and neonatal units
    • Conduct physical exams and evaluations on infants in various units
    • Perform specialized procedures on high-risk infants
    • Order and interpret lab tests, radiographs, and diagnostics
    • Prescribe therapies and nutrition, collaborate with physicians, and make rounds
    • Develop and implement standards for Neonatal Care
    • Stay updated on nursing standards and issues
    • Provide educational programs and serve as a clinical resource

    Qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Minimum 2 years of neonatal care experience
    • Master's degree in nursing
    • Registered Nurse License (Hawaii) required
    • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License (Hawaii)
    • Basic Life Support certification
    • Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certificate

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • At least 1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience in acute care
    • Valid Hawaii APRN recognition with Prescriptive Authority

    Non-Negotiable Requirements:

    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a neonatal care nurse
    • Ability to work overnight shifts
    • Full-time position with benefits

    Nice-to-Have Skills:

    • Local NNP or willing to relocate to Honolulu
    • Flexibility to work overnight shifts

    Additional Compensation: $10K Sign-On Bonus.
