    Description

    Support the mission of the legal department at JM Eagle and associated companies, by performing tasks as assigned by the General CounselSupport and manage various litigationReview, negotiate, draft and revise a variety of commercial contracts from the myriad of vendors and suppliers including service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, procurement agreements, etc.

    and real property transactions including leasesAs required, manage in-take of contract requests and conduct internal client interviews related to contracts and other legal projects to understand issues and then advise clients as to best practices in addressing such issues and conducting the transactions at handDevelop and maintain strong business relationships with the various internal business groups requiring legal supportEnsure the legal department staff is kept apprised of material developments and matters on a timely basis exercising sound business and legal judgment to enable General Counsel to discharge their duties and responsibilitiesDemonstrate leadership and team-working skills in support of a collaborative environmentOrganize, direct and provide legal support in specified areas under the direction of the General CounselExercise discretion and maintain a high degree of confidentialityPerforms other job related duties as assigned

    RequirementsPrevious experience in lawFamiliarity with various legal documentsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to build rapport with clientsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsThis position requires a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school, passing of the California State Bar Examination, and at least two (2) years' work experience prior to entering law school.
