- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
- Manage month-end financial close process (including schedules, proper review/maintenance of account reconciliation and accruals)
- Maintain the general ledger and review monthly reconciliation schedules.
- Manage sales tax reporting and compliance.
- Directly oversee the Accounts Payable function.
- Oversee all revenue sales channels including Sephora, Shopify, and wholesale.
- Initiate processes and streamline existing processes for efficiency and to sustain future growth of the company.
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
- Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
- BA/BS in accounting or finance with proven experience as an Accounting Manager with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Direct experience with Accounting ERP systems such as Netsuite or any similar ERP
- Ability to direct and supervise the work of the accounting team.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail-oriented with excellent follow-through abilities, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and efficiently work with internal departments while prioritizing workload.
- Inventory experience is a plus.
- Experience in a fast-paced startup environment is highly desirable.
- Prior experience with Shopify, Expensify, any AP platform, &Sephora is a plus.
- Public accounting experience a plus
