    POSITION TITLE:
    Special Program Coordinator, Grant Coordinator (Part-Time)


    DEPARTMENT:
    Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM)


    PRIMARY LOCATION:
    Fall River


    STATEMENT OF DUTIES:


    The Special Program Coordinator will serve as the coordinator and liaison for the Strengthening Community Colleges (SCC2) Grants Program to advance equity in information technology for women and people of color.

    The position will coordinate activities with workforce development, academic and student affairs, institutional research, and faculty to ensure project activities are implemented.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide coordination and oversight for SCC2 projects, including work plans, sustainability plans, annual reports, and final reports.
    • Manage grant budget and distribute the financial reporting in accordance with the grantor's guidelines.
    • Engage faculty, coordinators, and workforce development in expanding the non-credit to credit pathways for programming, networking, and cybersecurity curriculum.
    • Support data collection and analysis in collaboration with the Institutional Assessment and Planning.
    • Establish SCC2 project workgroups of staff and faculty to foster seamless collaboration across the College.
    • Support student recruitment and outreach related to SCC2 programs.
    • Serve as a project liaison between the College administrators and faculty.
    • Serve as liaison for statewide team planning and coordination of consortium activities.
    • Attend consortium, steering committee, and community of practice meetings as scheduled.
    • Attend professional development activities related to professional standards and SCC2 program goals.
    • Complete required college training as designated by the College.
    • Consistently demonstrate Bristol's core values while interacting with members of the Bristol community.
    • Adhere to the Commonwealth's Equity Agenda by applying related best practices throughout all job functions and working collaboratively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body.

    Requirements:

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    NOTE:
    Unless otherwise noted, all required qualifications must be met by date of hire.


    • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Business Administration, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other field related to area of assignment.
    • Minimum of three years of leadership experience and/or training involving area of assignment, which may include college registration, academic advisement, career development, career experience, training, curriculum development, audio/visual or graphic production, grant administration, budget development, program/project management, event planning, administrative work in an academic environment, or personal computer operations.
    * *An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience shall be considered.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
    • Experience in developing and implementing educational and training sessions and presentations.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in STEM or related field.
    • Two years of related experience as a Program Coordinator.
    • Experience working with diverse, multicultural populations in an education setting.
    • Demonstrated ability to design and/or utilize blended or online education models.
    • Experience using evidence-based practices in expanding technical curriculum.
    • Demonstrated proficiency with learning management systems, such as but not limited to Blackboard or Canvas.
    • Ability to speak a language in addition to English.

    POSITION STATUS:
    This is a part-time, grant-funded, non-unit, non-benefitted, 18.5 hours per week position through FY25-26. The anticipated schedule is Monday-Friday. This position may be subject to grant appropriations.


    SALARY:
    $32.00
