QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Masters Preferred, Bachelor's Degree in human services, public health, social work, or related field plus threeyear experience or combination of education & experience.
  • Knowledge of community/Program philosophies, goals, mission, and vision.
  • Knowledge of current theories, techniques, and practices of substance abuse prevention and able to demonstrate skills in implementing programs and activities in the communities
  • Knowledge of group fundamentals and the ability to conduct meetings
  • Knowledge of community resources and ability to solicit/ secure resources
  • Ability to relate to community contacts, program participants and staff in a positive manner
  • Must possess good organization, communication, and motivational skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Demonstrates ethical, trustworthy, and professional behavior.
  • Demonstrates values, beliefs and attitudes that inspire others to higher levels of performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Assist the Program Director in managing the First Response Grant
  • 2 Coordinate monthly advisory meetings and activities
  • Oversee operation of the Program's activities and programs including increasing participation in the Program, community readiness, creation (or following if already in existence) of bylaws and policies, as well as Program goals and objectives
  • Conduct outreach to community groups and offer the Opioid-Overdose Response Curriculum
  • Coordinate training activities in the community
  • Provide training and consultation
  • Provide weekly communication with all staff working under the project
  • Monitor programs to ensure compliance of grant requirements.
  • Develop and maintain positive work relationships with each of the community sectors.
  • Position entails 37.5 hours per week, day and times conditioned upon Program's needs and schedule

Pay:
$60, $70,000.00 per year
