- Manage the grantmaking lifecycle, from application to reporting, for the Foundation
- Mapping out and building application processes in the Foundation's Grants Management System
- Plan ahead and build out grantees' follow-up and reporting requirements
- Ensure data integrity by
- Maintain the Foundation grants database by conducting regular reviews
- Maintain internal documentation about the Foundation's processes and standard operating procedures within the Grants Management System (GMS) and board portal
- Develop and maintain external communication about the use of the Foundation's GMS
- Serve as the Foundation's primary contact in the GMS
- Oversee the daily administrative operations of the office
- Maintain office supplies
- Incoming/outcoming mailings
- Copying and organize material for meetings
- Organize travel arrangements, speaking engagements, and events
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors
- Assist in processing checks and other financial processes
- Scheduling meetings and site visits
- Create correspondences
- Primary point of contact for contractors
- Other duties as assigned
- 1-3 years of administrative grant experience
- 1+ years of GMS or database management experience
- Strong verbal, organization, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills
- High-level attention to detail
- Experience and proficiency working with Microsoft Office, Google applications, MailChimp, and other common technology platforms
- Ability to respond to all inquiries in a timely and efficient manner
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and compliance with sensitive information across all aspects of the job in a family business setting
- High school diploma, Associate degree preferred
- Familiarity with the nonprofit and/or philanthropic community is preferred

Founded in 1989, the Carney Family Charitable Foundation serves as a catalyst and resource for organizations to expand and sustain their capacity to build equitable and vibrant communities, with a focus on Greater New Bedford.
We are seeking a positive and self-directed person to join our Foundation as a part-time (20 hours per week) Grants and Office Coordinator in Downtown New Bedford. This position is a hybrid opportunity offering a competitive hourly wage and anticipated start date of Spring 2024
