About the Division:

The Communications Division (CD) manages public and media outreach, plans events, creates educational materials, and operates the Golden Buckeye program.

About the Role:

The Ombudsman Communications Specialist will lead in developing and executing strategies to promote consumer rights and raise public awareness about the ombudsman program. This role involves collaborating with media, long-term care programs, and internal teams.

Key duties of this role are:

Develop and execute outreach strategies to enhance public engagement.
Build relationships with media outlets for coverage of program initiatives.
Foster partnerships with long-term care programs for effective messaging.
Produce various content types for different platforms.
Organize program events and recognitions.
Proofread and edit program materials.
Write speeches and press releases.
Assist with public information projects.

Qualifications:

4 yrs. exp. in business or public administration or related fields; or completion of relevant undergraduate program and 2 yrs. exp. in a supervisory role.
