    Description

    Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing and Communication, the Marketing and Communications Specialist plays a crucial role in the development and execution of email marketing strategies aimed at enhancing brand awareness, generating leads, and acquiring customers. This role demands a thorough understanding of marketing principles, with a particular emphasis on the intricacies of email campaign management and product marketing. The specialist is responsible for crafting the vision, incorporating personas, mapping user journeys, and devising a marketing automation roadmap to bolster campaign strategies that enhance engagement, e-commerce success, lead generation, and customer loyalty. Additionally, the position involves analyzing insights and performance benchmarks to recommend marketing automation strategies for targeted audience segments, defining and designing the creative assets required for email campaigns, and managing marketing automation projects to ensure they meet deadlines and objectives, all while continually reporting on campaign performance and making necessary optimizations.

    The position provides a blend of tactical and strategic skills, with a focus on email marketing. However, the role also focuses on marketing analytics and research critical for steering ASNT's marketing strategies and business decisions.?

    Job Responsibilities

  • Develop captivating email content encompassing copywriting, design elements, and multimedia assets, aligning seamlessly with brand aesthetics and audience preferences.
  • Utilize email automation tool (HubSpot) to orchestrate triggered and drip campaigns, tailoring messaging to customer behavior, personas, lifecycle stages, and segmentation.
  • Segment email lists based on personas, demographic data, behavioral patterns, and preferences to deliver personalized and targeted communications.
  • A/B test and dissect campaign performance metrics (including open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates) to optimize campaigns for maximum impact.??
  • Work with program leads to establish and maintain marketing/content calendars and meet deadlines.?
  • Adhere strictly to email marketing regulations (such as CAN-SPAM and GDPR) and industry best practices to safeguard sender reputation and optimize deliverability.?
  • Review and edit materials, as needed, to ensure clarity, accuracy, alignment with brand, and appropriateness for intended audiences.?
  • Champion the ASNT brand image and values to foster a consistent and compelling narrative across communication touchpoints.
  • Measure the effectiveness of email marketing efforts, analyzing data to inform decision-making and optimize campaign performance.
  • Help conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, consumer insights, and opportunities for product/service innovation and market expansion.
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communication, or a related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in marketing communications, with a strong emphasis on email marketing and knowledge of email trends.
  • Experience with email marketing automation platforms, with a preference for HubSpot and related digital media platforms and tools such as Canva and
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to gather, understand, and synthesize technical information from a variety of sources, along with a keen eye for creative design.
  • Familiarity with association management systems, preferably Nimble AMS, to support marketing operations and data management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Google Analytics for performance tracking and analysis.
  • Strong planning skills, with the ability to articulate a vision and garner buy-in from stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships and working effectively with diverse teams and personalities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions to optimize marketing strategies.
  • Some market research experience and ability to analyze insights and distill results into action.

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proven experience managing an email marketing program.
  • Hands-on experience in marketing automation platforms.
  • Detailed knowledge of email regulations, best practices, and compliance internationally in various regulatory regimes (e.g., GDPR or CASL).
  • Experience building an email marketing campaign from scratch.
  • Google Analytics, an understanding of HTML, A/B Testing, and knowledge of SEO.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills and exceptional attention to detail.

  • Working Conditions

    Primarily remote. Travel is required approximately 10% of the time.
