    Job Overview:
    Provides crisis intervention and emergency services to child victims and families as needed, in English or Spanish.


    Qualifications:

    Required:

    • Master s degree (or higher) in psychology or social work
    • NJ Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); or License-eligible psychologist with NJ permit (Ph.
    D., Psy. D.)

    • Bi-Lingual

    Preferred:

    Certifications and Licenses Required (if applicable):

    • Certification in phlebotomy and/or training program
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is required.

    Essential Functions:

    • Psychosocial Assessments: Able to conduct forensic psychosocial evaluations of Spanish-speaking children and adolescents referred for child maltreatment
    • Crisis Intervention: Provides crisis intervention and emergency services to child victims and families as needed, in English or Spanish.

    Parent Support Group Leader:

    Facilitates and leads Trauma-Focused support group for parents of child abuse victims; Trains Master s level social work and psychology students to co-lead Spanish-speaking group sessions.


    • Psychotherapy: Provides trauma-focused individual and group therapy to child victims and families in Spanish.
    • Forensic Reports, treatment plans and progress notes: Provides well integrated psychosocial evaluations in timely fashion for use by DCPP and their Deputy Attorney Generals (DAGs) as needed for court proceedings. Provides Spanish translations as relevant and necessary within forensic reports.
    • Develops and monitors patient treatment plans with goals, measurable objectives and outcomes.
    • Maintains timely progress notes necessary for documentation in medical records.

    Child Maltreatment:

    Provides training in child abuse and neglect to hospitals, community agencies, schools and to other professionals in the field of child maltreatment.


    • Trains Master s level social work and psychology students in TF-CBT for Spanish speaking populations.
    • Reports to Supervising Psychologist or Metro Clinical Director
