    LACO Technologies is seeking and experienced Mechanical Engineer to work in our sales department.

    This position is a hands-on, customer-facing, technical sales role to help our customers improve their products to shape the future.

    LACO Technologies is a leading manufacturer of custom leak testing and vacuum systems. The solutions that we provide allow our customers to make a difference in many industries. We manufacture products for world-class companies like SpaceX, Lockheed, Apple, Google, bioMérieux, and Tesla.

    In the role of Application Engineer, you will:

    work with customers to understand their requirements.explain how our technology can address their most challenging requirements.perform testing in our lab on customer sample parts.provide remote and in-person technical demonstrations.provide post-sale customer technical support.

    RequirementsSkills RequiredHands-on engineering experience - understand requirements and solve problems.

    Technical aptitudeCustomer relationship skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent presentation skillsProficient at SolidWorks, Excel, Word, PowerPointVacuum and Leak Testing knowledge and experience a plus.

    Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar1-3 years' experience in customer-facing engineering Job DetailsEstimated Salary + Commission: $76,000 to $90,000 (based on experience)

    Location:
    Salt Lake City, UtahFlexible work schedule with the opportunity to participate in our 9/80 work schedule

    Travel:

    Occasional short term (one week or less) travel a few times per yearBenefits package includes medical, dental, vision, short term disability, life insurance, and 401K with match, paid holidays, paid time off, continuing education opportunities including tuition reimbursement program, periodic company parties, and lunches.
