    Investment Analyst | Job Description

    Phoenix, AZ

    Smead Capital Management is accepting applications for an Investment Analyst position for its Phoenix office. The job will be a full-time exempt position. The position will report to the Chief Investment Officer.

    Job Summary:

    The Investment Analyst position will work as an integral member of the Investment Team to engage in the firms investment research.

    Responsibilities:

    Create a deep inculcation to the investment philosophy of the firm

    Focused on quarterly filings and calls for portfolio holdings.

    Regular review and involvement with annotation tied to current and prospective investment holdings.

    Understanding of firms trading systems, processes and vendors

    Production of investment analysis for marketing, communication and investor presentations

    Build relationships with investor relations contacts

    Be a book with legs

    Ad hoc projects

    Qualifications:

    Bachelors Degree required.

    CFA charter holder preferred

    Minimum of three years of investment analysis experience.

    Prefer US and Non-US investment experience

    Strong writing and communication skills.

    Ability to work in a dynamic team environment.

    Candidates must be analytical, detail-oriented with a deep passion for the firms investment philosophy.

    Experience with Bloomberg, Factset and other investment software applications.

    Must be a reader

    Liberal arts majors encouraged to apply
