Full-Time Duties and Responsibilities:
Auburn University at Montgomery is accepting applications for an
HVACTechnician.

Under general supervision, this position performs technical
HVACwork on a wide array of building
HVACsystems and their associated components to perform maintenance, repair, replacement, and installation tasks.

The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for the following:

Performs routine repairs and preventative maintenance on
HVACsystems.
Replaces
HVACpumps, drives, and motors.
Performs
HVACrepairs and installs
HVACcomponents in campus buildings and will be required to serve on an on-call status for emergencies.
Assists
HVACManager on complex
HVACprojects, equipment replacement, and installation.
May be responsible for supervising and training employees performing
HVACduties.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of facility operations related to HVAC, OSHA regulations, and state contract guidelines.
Knowledge of working with a work ticket system and Microsoft office software.
Knowledge of chillers, boilers, AHU's, coils, motors, fans, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to install, maintain, and repair a wide array of common
HVACsystems.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair
HVACsystems.
Ability to wire circuits/components and to repair exhaust fans and ventilation equipment.
Ability to follow safety procedures while performing job duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Valid Driver's License
High School Diploma or GED.
Two (2) years' experience repairing and installing commercial
HVACsystems.
EPA Universal Refrigerant License

Preferred Qualifications:

Commercial boiler knowledge and safety requirements.
