Custom Climates is hiring a general manager (GM) to be responsible for all operations, including managing the sales, service, and install departments, tracking revenue, and controlling costs.

Essential Job Functions

  • Communicate and implement Custom Climates' vision, mission and overall direction. Ensure that the direction is communicated in a way that allows every employee to believe that they are part of something bigger than themselves and that their role is strategically important to the company
  • Lead the crews and train where necessary
  • Drive sales by following the company's process and training
  • Help implement the strategic plan for the company and work with all levels of the organization to execute
  • Have awareness of the competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, industry developments and standards
  • Evaluate success or failure using a set of strategic performance indicators
  • Manage and develop staff, including hiring, terminating and disciplining of employees. Setting schedules, work priorities, conducting staff meetings, coaching employees, evaluating performance and directing work assignments to ensure effective use of resources and customer satisfaction
  • Evaluate workload in a way that best utilizes manpower and maximizes profits
  • Ensure all processes and procedures are followed
  • Observe all safety and company rules and regulations in the performance of duties
  • Delivery of goals and metrics for the assigned team; ensure goals are met monthly
  • Review payroll records to ensure that staff are paid properly
  • Oversee facility and equipment maintenance; ensure that assets are protected and controlled
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment
  • Generate reports and measures of departmental operations
  • Record inventory, tools, and vehicles
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ensure proper materials and equipment are ordered and dispersed
  • Instruct technicians on the proper use of materials and quality workmanship
  • Maintain ongoing training of technicians
  • Drive our 5 Star Guarantee on all work performed
  • Ensure employees have and maintain proper tools
  • Evaluate staff to determine training requirements. Provide training and support to employees
  • Grow the maintenance agreement customer base

Minimum Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in an HVAC business management role
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills
  • Understanding of the principles of quality management with respect to effective communication
  • Experience with management and conflict resolution
  • Level personality with a drive for success
  • Strong organizational skills, manage multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to a very fastpaced environment and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Deliver a high level of customer service on a consistent basis
  • Ability to motivate a team

Pay:
$85, $350,000.00 per year
