Description

No matter if you are 14 or 84 years, there is a place for you in the Deer Valley family (Last year over 1,100 staff members celebrated their fifth season or more at Deer Valley).

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Manage all aspects of the front-line sales operations and accounting operations for Skier Services and Summer Adventure Camp; the development of positive employee relations and individual employee growth.
What You'll DoManage the daily sales operations of Winter Skier Services Sales locations around the resort and the Summer Adventure Camp and summer bike sales locations
Monitor Human Resources employee paperwork, reports, and manage labor costs
Manage office operations, such as supplies and printing projects, within budgetary limits
Manage location set-up such as signage, keys, work station equipment
Create a cohesive supervisory team, providing leadership in problem-solving, guest relations and employee relations, both within the department and with other Skier Services and Deer Valley departments
Coordinate the training of new and returning staff and actively participate in company-wide training and leadership development
Manage/delegate projects in a timely, efficient manner and handle all duties as assigned
Mentor staff in the development of their interpersonal skills by encouraging effective communication, active learning, decision making and problem solving
Qualifications
Working knowledge of the Deer Valley Employee Handbook and Sales policies and procedures
Prior Deer Valley Skier Services experience preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Problem-solving skills to deal with transactions, policy reviews and guest situations
Skilled in Word, Excel and other computer software
Ability to anticipate and calmly manage business, staffing, software and policy changes
Skilled in Word, Excel and other standard and proprietary computer software systems such as Workday/UKG, Microsoft Office, DVSS, RTP/One, and varying web applications
