    Job DescriptionAccount Executive- Overland Park, KS

    LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a Transportation company in the Overland Park, KS area to fill its Account Executive position. As an Account Executive, you will play a crucial role in connecting shippers with carriers, ensuring efficient transportation of goods across the country.

    Responsibilities:
    • Negotiate Rates: Collaborate with carriers to negotiate competitive rates for freight transportation.
    • Load Matching: Match available loads with qualified carriers based on capacity, equipment, and lane preferences.
    • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to shippers and carriers, addressing any issues promptly.
    • Documentation: Prepare and manage necessary documentation, including bills of lading, shipping instructions, and contracts.
    • Track Shipments: Monitor shipments in real-time, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving any delays.
    • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, rates, and regulations.
    • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with both shippers and carriers to foster long-term partnerships

    Qualifications:
    • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in freight brokerage or related field. (preferred)
    • Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate rates effectively.
    • Attention to Detail: Accurate record-keeping and attention to detail.
    • Problem-solving: Quick thinking and ability to handle unexpected situations.
    • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using transportation management software (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Sales Acumen: Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.

    Job Details:
    • Monday-Friday: 40 hours/week
    • Compensation: $45-50,000 annual + commissions
    • Medical, Dental, and Vision
    • 401K Matching
    • PTO
    Pay Details: $45,000.00 to $50,000.00 per year
