    Customer Service Specialist - Trenton, United States - The O'Connor Group

    Description

    Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the customer service representative will be located at the company's office headquarters in Trenton, NJ. This position is responsible for direct customer service, including specific product requests, product and price inquiries, order changes, delivery and transportation requirements, and general company information. This position ensures efficient and effective acceptance and handling of product orders from customers.

    Responsibilities

    • Receives, reviews, and processes product orders from customers. Must be able to identify customer's needs and specifications. Able to become familiar with the company product line and prices and communicate fast and efficiently via email and over the phone.
    • Orders are entered into our system and confirmations are sent to customers in a timely manner.
    • Purchase Orders are created for materials shipping directly from a supplier.
    • Manages open orders including processing customer changes to ensure customer expectations are met
    • Serves as primary contact point for customers and sales force for identifying problems, and quickly resolving issues. Responsible for entering customer complaints into the complaint system for investigation by the quality department.
    • Assist salespersons in required communications including letters, technical information, and product literature. Respond to salesperson and customer requests for information.


    Requirements

    • 3+ years' experience in a customer service capacity.
    • Detail-oriented person with strong organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work assignments. Flexible in dealing with changing work environment with a positive attitude and a sense of urgency. Ability to multi-task.
    • Proactive ability to resolve problems and research technical data to become familiar with products and services.
    • Experiencing processing customer orders using an ERP system (Datacor, Chempax or similar).
    • Experience using Office 365 tools (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) and Zoom.
    • Experiencing using Word, Excel, and Adobe DC to modify and edit documents.
