    Job DescriptionDescription:

    The Staff Accountant will be responsible for preparing a variety of journal entries, bank reconciliations as well as reconciling high risk balance sheet and operating statement accounts and supporting the overall operations of the Accounting Department.

    Essential Job Functions/Competencies

    • Work closely with Accounting Supervisor during the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
    • Prepare and record various journal entries to the general ledger.
    • Record cash receipts and prepare bank reconciliations.
    • Record and organize and tie out intercompany activity with affiliates.
    • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis.
    • Prepare assigned items for external audit.
    • Assist with accounts payable processes.
    • Participate in the development and completion of special projects.
    • Perform additional general and accounting tasks, as assigned.
    • Must be a team player with ability to maintain a positive attitude in an extremely fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Self-starter, energetic, enthusiastic and customer service focused.
    • Careful attention to detail.
    • Interested in learning and advancing career.
    • Must have strong communication skills.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

    • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
    • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
    • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
    • High attention to detail and accuracy
    • Microsoft Dynamics GP experience preferred.
    Requirements:

    Educational Requirements

    • BS degree in Accounting or Finance or related field.

    Experience Requirement

    • 2 to 5 years of experience in corporate accounting roles
    • Healthcare industry a plus
